Features
The
primary features of Flexar include:
- Configuration
Options support a wide range of flexwork and co-scheduling programs
and hybrids (flextime, remote work, telecommuting, part time, job share,
compressed work week, phase retirement, phased return to Work, ...)
- Supports variable
Review levels, reviewer roles, controls and Schedule models.
- Supports multiple
access control options - SSO, Login, user profiles from the HR system
or user managerd - Self Registration; various Proposal/Review and Proposal/Collaboration
Models.
- Captures flex
work type, Schedules, Answers to Questions, Agreements, other flex type
specific data.
- Supports set of
questions developed by the client and Rupert & Company to pose to
the Flexwork applicant. These can be specific to each flex work type
or generalized across work types. These may be changed periodically.
- Supports fully
customized agreement documents that may be specific to each flex work
type. These may be developed by Rupert & Company and the client.
These may be modified when needed.
- Provides automatic
email notifications to manager and selectable parties to move the proposal
process along. Emails are "Notifications only" or "Notifications
with action links".
- Creates a PDF
file for each proposal in order to memorialize each proposal at the
time of submission. These are maintained on-line and can be printed,
downloaded, or emailed on demand. Provides links to the operation and
the proposal embedded in the emails to facilitate very quick and easy
follow-on action.
- Includes dozens
of reports and summary graphs providing insights into the flex work
participation, programs and issues in your organization. Some include
summary to detail drill-down capabilities.
- Customized Reports
can be authored in Crystal Reports and uploaded to the FM environment
for "run on demand" reporting. Excel and other files can access
data through an ODBC configuration file. All reports afford a number
of export format options.
- Provides online
Evaluations, Reviews and Surveys to capture information regarding arrangement
issues from the perspectives of employees and managers.
- Provides many
ways to brand the system as a company specific facility - header artwork,
CSS (cascading style sheets) to customize buttons and colors, Landing
Page or localized portal composition, Skip Page composition, question/answer
formats, agreement documents, and others.
- Includes (optional)
data links from the HR system (via encrypted XML) to automate secure
user data and personnel maintenance.
- Includes (optional)
Single Sign On (SSO) functionality to enhance convenience and security
so there are no usernames and passwords to manage for Flexar. The SSO
is fully SAML 2.0 compliant.

Services
Ongoing Flexar
Services included:
- Provides all of
the servers and services required to operate, support and protect the
Flexar system - including the IIS web services, Flexar programs; MS-SQL
server, SQL licensing, and SQL scripts and reports; email (SMTP) server
and configuration; SSO SAML message exchange; WSDL XML (encrypted) processing
and message exchange; SAP/Crystal Report with Crystal Enterprise; secure
FTP; PGP Encryption; SSAE-16 audit compliant server facility with 3rd
party periodic penetration testing; others.
- Host Servers are
fully dedicated (not virtual servers), with dedicated switch and firewall
appliance for highest throughput, minimal latency and high performance.
Security protocols are very restrictive and completely under our control
(via dedicated firewall appliance). The Cloud as it should be.
- Provides HTTPS
secured web exchange on our certificated servers and compiled content
to provide secure exchange over the internet.
- Maintain communications
with client Human Resources database for updated Person information
(employees, managers, administrators). We support virtually any HR platform
- Oracle, Peoplesoft, SAP, ... The data exchage is encrypted using PGP
encryption.
- Provides all of
the services required to backup the SQL database files and failover
services.
- Provides all Flexar
software update services and verified data architecture changes. All
added features and improvements are included in the monthly license
and support fees.
- Provides all system
software upgrades, security patches, service pack installations and
other system updates. Maintains all component system licensing.
- Provides all update
services to support modified agreement files, company specific art,
landing-page, skip-pages, report files, proposal questions, email message
text and recipient lists, and other company specific facility files
- Provides company
specific and individualized instances of each component - Web resident
programs, system components, database instance, SMTP mailbox instance,
XML processor, server certificates.
- Provides secure
FTPS service for uploading material for use in your configuration.
- Provides Help Desk
services and quick response times.
